FAQ

  • I'm unsure about the word 'Hypno' Am I Going To Be Hypnotised Like The People You Used To see On The TV?

The word 'Hypnobirthing' is probably the wrong word to use! Hypnobirthing wont change you into a different person or allow someone else to take over your mind. Quite simply it just teaches you tools and techniques as describes above to have a fear free, comfortable and positive birth.

  • Will My Birth Be Pain Free?

Maybe! The are no guarantees with any kind of birth preparation that your birth will be painless but I have taught many women who have claimed to have just that. Regardless of what your birth preferences are, Hypnobirthing can make a real difference to your experience.

  • Do I Need A Birth Partner To Be Involved?

The birth partner is indeed a key part of the Hypnobirthing experience but if you don't have one, it wont stop you learning the self hypnosis techniques to get you through.

  • Will I Be Totally Out Of It And Unable To Remember My Birth Experience?

You will be awake and very conscious throughout your Hypnobirth! Some people do worry they they wont have any recollection of the birth but its quite the opposite. You’ll be deeply relaxed, but also an active participant in the labour process. You will be super calm and 'within yourself' when practising the techniques but will totally be able to converse with those around you as and when you choose.

  • Can I Use Hypnobirthing If I want Pain Relief Or Have Any Intervention?

Yes indeed. Hypnobirthing will help you to learn relaxation skills that use can use regardless of your birth experience. These techniques will help to keep you and your baby calm in the event of an emergency situation. If medical intervention is needed, it will be easier to remain calm and in control.

  • How long will I be able to access the course?

The course will be available to access for two years from the date of enrollment.

About Me

Midwife & Hypnobirthing Instructor

Marley Hall

I have been a midwife for over 11 years and have 5 children ranging from 1- 20 years old. I am extremely passionate about birth education, those of you who follow me on Instagram will already know! Having looked after a range of women and birthing people during this time, I have learned a lot about normal physiological birth and the various factors that can impact it. Using my knowledge, my training as a Hypnobirthing instructor in 2011, I created the Hypnobirthing & Birth Body Prep course. I truly believe that every person giving birth should be given the tools to achieve the best possible experience for them and by simply changing the way we view birth, we are already one step of the way there.
